March on WashingtonJoin United for Peace and Justice and thousands of concerned citizens at the Washington Monument to march and rally together to end the war in Iraq, for a plan to bring the troops home, to leave no bases behind, and to end the corporate occupation of Iraq. We must stop bankrupting our communities, and end deceptive military recruitment in our schools.

Chartered buses with on-board bathrooms have been reserved to take area residents to Washington on Saturday morning, and return that evening. Tentative departure will be at 7:30 AM sharp; return at 9:30-10 PM Saturday night. Full details will be sent to all who reserve. Seats are only guaranteed for those with advance reservations.

Lobby Day on Monday, September 26

US CapitolVans have been reserved to take supporters to DC Monday morning and back the same night. We are trying to arrange for a brown bag briefing upon arrival around mid-day and will have Congressional appointments throughout the afternoon. Return will be at approximately 10 PM. Full details and background on legislation will be sent to participants before September 26.

Directions to Princeton Township Hall Parking Lot for September 24 Bus to DC

From Route 1:
Take Washington Road (Route 571) toward Princeton. Go through 5 lights (5th light is Nassau Street, you’ll pass the Garden Theater on your left). At stop sign, turn left onto Wiggins. Turn right at first light onto Witherspoon Street. Go down about half a mile past the Princeton Hospital on your right, then a Community Park School on your left. Parking lot is just beyond that on the left. The school on the south, Community Park Swimming Pool on the west, and the new Princeton Township Hall on the north borders the lot. If you come to light at Valley Road, you’ve gone too far.

From Route 206 South: As you come down the hill into Princeton, you’ll pass a small shopping center on the left, then a light immediately following. This is the intersection with Cherry Valley Road. Turn left, then take an immediate right onto Witherspoon. Go through one light at the intersection with Valley Road. Parking lot is on the right just past the new Princeton Township Hall.
