Market Streets in Philadelphia ($1.15 each way).

12 Noon: Join the Human Chain from the VA Hospital on
Woodland Ave to Independence Mall. This chain will then become
a March to Independence Mall.

OCTOBER 27 “PEACE TRAIN" TO BOARD IN TRENTON EN ROUTE TO CAMDEN FEEDER RALLY AND MARCH, CULMINATING IN REGIONAL PEACE FESTIVAL IN PHILADELPHIA AS PART OF NATIONALLY COORDINATED REGIONAL PROTESTS AGAINST IRAQ WAR
A “Peace Train” sponsored by the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) will begin in Trenton and stop in Camden for a Feeder Rally and March over the Ben Franklin Bridge to Philadelphia on Saturday, October 27. The events are part of a series of 11 major regional demonstrations in the US that day coordinated by United for Peace and Justice, the largest such coalition in the US with over 1,400 affiliates, including CFPA, across the nation (see http://www.oct27.org/ for details).
The day will begin with a Pre-Boarding Rally from 9:00-9:45 AM on the sidewalk in front of the River Line of NJ Transit, across Clinton Avenue from the main Trenton Train Station. Confirmed speakers to date include NJ Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman; NJ Senator Shirley Turner; Jerome Harris, Chairman of the NJ Black Issues Convention; the Very Rev. Rene Rory John, Dean of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Trenton; Yoel Bitran of the Princeton Campus Anti-War Network; and Ladonna Blount, Central Jersey Organizer of NJ Citizen Action.
Those coming from the Princeton area are encouraged to carpool at 8:15 AM from the Rite Aid (formerly Eckerd Drug) end of the Princeton Shopping Center, 301 N. Harrison Street. The public is invited to the Pre-Boarding Rally, whether or not they can board the Peace Train to participate in the remainder of the day’s events.
The Peace Train, using NJ Transit’s River Line, is scheduled to leave at 9:45 AM. Tickets will be available at the pre-boarding Rally for $2 each. The train is scheduled to arrive in Camden at 10:50 AM.
From 11:00-11:45 AM, Peace Train riders and other supporters from southern New Jersey will join for a Feeder Rally at the Walt Whitman Arts Center of Rutgers-Camden, located at the intersection of Second and Cooper Streets. Confirmed speakers and performers include:

At approximately 11:45 A.M., a New Jersey Feeder March will go over the Ben Franklin Bridge toward Independence Mall in Philadelphia, joining Feeder Marches from elsewhere in the Mid-Atlantic region for a major Regional Peace Festival with speakers, music, and poetry from 2:00-5:00 PM.
