The Conference will feature a panel discussion and Q & A sessions with all speakers.
Conference Speakers, in order of appearance:
Ambassador Max Kampelman, who helped negotiate on behalf of the Reagan Administration the first nuclear reduction treaty in history, the INF Treaty.
Professor Janne Nolan, Professor of International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, former official at the US Department of State, Senior Advisor to the Senate Armed Services Committee, and member of various White House and Congressional Commissions.
Phyllis Bennis, international relations expert at the Institute for Policy Studies. Ms. Bennis has authored numerous articles and books, including Before and After: US Foreign Policy and the September 11 Crisis. She frequently appears as an expert on UN and Middle East issues in the mass media.
Dr. Frank von Hippel, Professor of Public and International Affairs,
and Co-Chair of the International Panel on Fissile Materials. Prof. von Hippel, a physicist, previously was Assistant Director of the White House Science Advisor’s Office, and Chairman of the Federation of American Scientists.
Freeman Dyson, Professor of Physics, Emeritus at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and recipient of the prestigious Templeton Prize in 2000. Professor Dyson has authored award-winning books including Disturbing the Universe and Weapons and Hope.
