A message from Karen Porter of Chester County Peace Movement, the sponsor for this training: "This topic is very timely, and I urge as many of you as possible to take this training. If you go to vigils and/or demonstrations, you need to know what you will learn in this course.
I have trained with Dion in civil disobedience and in peacemaker training (for the Oct. 27 mobilization), and he's a superb trainer.
It looks like we will have enough students - if you have already signed up, please remind me about that by e-mailing me again - NOW IS TIME TO MAKE A FIRM COMMITMENT. Please bring $5 for pizza and a generous donation for our trainer (suggest $10-20, or whatever you can afford)."
Directions:
Going south on Route 202, make a right on 926 West. Drive over a mile to second stop light at Birmingham Rd. Turn left on Birmingham, go 4/10 mile (past Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery). It's on left (plenty of parking).
OR, from West Chester Borough, you can go south on South New St., right at light on 926-west to next light at Birmingham Rd., turn left, go 4/10 mile (past Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery) - it's on left.
We encourage all CFPA members to make this training if it is in your area. We will also schedule one in Lansdowne at a later date in the near future.
