Winter Soldier March

Members of Iraq Veterans Against the War will march 25 miles from Philadelphia to Valley Forge
Depart: Constitution Center, Sat. 9:30 a.m.
The public is invited to join or greet the march:
In Bryn Mawr: Saturday, March 1 at 4 p.m., Intersection of Bryn Mawr and Lancaster Avenues
or at
At Valley Forge Park: Sunday, March 2 at 4 p.m.,
Route 23 and North Gulph Road, Valley Forge, PA
All soldiers marching are veterans of the Iraq or Afghan War, members of Iraq Veterans Against the War ( www.ivaw.org / click on “Winter Soldier”). The Philadelphia Winter Soldier March is a preview of the Winter Soldier hearings that will be held in Washington, DC, March 13-16, 2008.
Citizens are invited to greet the soldiers with encouragement as they march (no signs, please). Citizens are also invited to join the soldiers at the Valley Forge Visitors’ Center on Sunday at 4 PM for the last leg of their journey -- a rally at the War Memorial in Valley Forge Park.
