from the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship group addressing the UU Study/Action Issue on Peacemaking:
Rev. Moore is a spokesman for peace in our time, leading many groups to Washington to lobby members of Congress on behalf of disarmament and the conversion of resources from military purposes to urgent human needs. Bob Moore, as he is known in the community, is a stimulating and vital speaker. His is the ideal voice to reflect on the current Unitarian Universalist Study/Action Issue on Peacemaking. The resolution deals with the possibility of rejecting all kinds of violence and war to resolve disputes between peoples and nations and seeking just peace through nonviolent means.
As the director of a peace action group and as minister of the East Brunswick Congregational Church, Bob Moore will examine this resolution from the standpoint of U.S. national and international interests in the light of a continuum from pacifism to just war theory. Bob Moore’s talk is one in a series of discussions to be held at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship on their Peacemaking resolution. Donation, $5.00.
