Call to a Moratorium on Wednesday, March 19
Fifth Anniversary of the War in Iraq

CFPA Chester and Delaware Counties £££££££££££££

Visibility is critical to ending the conspiracy of silence and the passive acquiescence to the continuation of this war. Educate people in your community about the ongoing war and what is needed to end it.

. Wear dark colored armbands. This will help give a sense of unity to the Moratorium, as well as fostering discussion with people you encounter that day. Further, CFPA of Bucks and Montgomery suggests that you wear the armband all week long. If you want to get pre-made armbands, please contact the CFPA Princeton office at (609) 924-5022.

. Participate in a 6:30-7:30 p.m. visit to the district office of Congressman Joe Sestak in Media. Bring anti-war messages. Thank the Congressman for his opposition to the Iraq War so far, but also demand that he oppose any further blank check funding for the war. Call the CFPA at (610) 623-3724 to join a delegation and find out when and where to go.

. Those interested are invited to sign a petition to end funding the Iraq War. To sign it, go to: http://www.paactionnetwork.org/petitions

"We the undersigned urge that funds appropriated or otherwise made available under any provision of law, may not be obligated or expended to deploy or continue to deploy the Armed Forces to the Republic of Iraq. This is with the exception that funds be provided for the safe and orderly withdrawal of the Armed Forces from Iraq."

Sponsored by the CFPA in Pennsylvania, and by similar organizations in Minnesota, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Illinois, this petition will be delivered to U.S. Senators and Representatives.

. A weekday rally is one of the best ways to get media coverage. Express your outrage and determination to end this war at one of the one-hour (6:30-7:30 p.m.) rallies listed below:

aBaltimore Pike and Route 252, Media (lots of free parking in ACME parking lot). Sponsored by Delaware County Wage Peace & Justice.

aKey Stone Park, Baltimore Pike near Route 320 (across from the Old Sproul Shopping Village, near the Springfield Mall) Swarthmore. Sponsored by Delaware County WILPF (Woman’s International League for Peace and Freedom).

aLansdowne and Baltimore Pike, Lansdowne (across from Lansdowne Borough Hall). Sponsored by Coalition for Peace Action, Chester Delco Chapter.

As darkness falls, end the Rally with candlelight and a quiet, prayerful time in which we re-commit ourselves to engage in ongoing action to stop this war.
