The People's Peace Conference 2008: The Grassroots Speak

CFPA is co-sponsoring the second annual People's Peace Conference with the Peace and Justice Coalition. This major inter-racial gathering drew over 300 people last year. M-1, "The Truth" and other musical groups will perform.

There will be a wide range of speakers, including CFPA Executive Director
the Rev. Robert Moore, who is scheduled to be the first speaker after lunch. Workshops will cover topics including ending the occupation and preventing future wars of aggression; privatization, cutbacks and the economics of war; challenging military recruitment; stopping violence against women and women making peace; and stopping street violence.
