- Join the Send-Off Rally 11 am in Lansdowne
- Get on the Peace Train at Swarthmore or Lansdowne
- Be part of the Human Chain in Philadelphia
- Come to the Rally and Concert at Independence Visitors Center
The vast majority of the people in the U.S. want this war to end, but Washington has failed to take decisive action. With each passing month, the death and destruction continue. Besides reparations to Iraq, we need to focus our resources on our communities to fund education, health care, and affordable housing and repair the crumbling infrastructure of our highways and mass transportation.
This will be 1 of 11 regional United for Peace and Justice (UFPJ) demonstrations planned for this day.

Supporters are coming from across the Mid-Atlantic Region: DC, VA, MD, DE, PA, & NJ. Caravans, some led by Iraq Vets Against the War, from regional cities & towns are joining up in Philadelphia.
Send-Off Rally at the Lansdowne Septa Regional Rail Station on South Lansdowne Ave, (Next to Library) at 11:00 am.
Peace Train (R-3) - Join others on the train at 11:31 am in Swarthmore or 11:40 am in Lansdowne to 30th St. Station.
Human Chain for Peace - Join the chain between 31st and 34th Streets along Walnut Street from 12:30 to 1:30
pm. Then march or take public transit to 6th & Market.
12:30 pm: Landmark 'Human Chain for Peace' from the VA Hospital at 38th & Woodland Avenue. to Federal Building at 6th & Market Street.
Big Rally/Concert - From 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Independence Visitors Center, 5th & Market.
