Annual Vigil
School of the Americas Watch
in Fort Benning, Georgia
November 21-24, 2008
BuxMont Coalition for Peace Action is planning a trip to the annual vigil to close the School of the Americas in Fort Benning, Georgia this November.
The tentative plans are to leave very early Friday, November 21 and attend the vigils there on Saturday and Sunday and leave Monday morning to return home. It is approximately a fifteen hour car ride, about eight-hundred miles.
We plan on sharing the expense of renting a vehicle and we need to know the number of people that would be interested in participating in this event so we can plan appropriately. The hotels there can be rented for approximately $100.00 per night and people that are willing to can express their desire to share rooms to cut costs. The only other costs should be meals and sharing the expense of gasoline.
