Membership Renewal Event With Medea Benjamin
On Sunday, March 26 the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) held its annual Membership Renewal and New Member Welcome Gathering featuring author and CODEPINK co-founder Medea Benjamin. Over 100 people attended the event, which began with a light lunch for CFPA members, followed by a talk and Q & A with Ms. Benjamin who spoke about her new book: Kingdom of the Unjust: Behind the U.S.-Saudi Connection.

Peace in the Three Abrahamic Traditions event at St. Ann's Church
On February 14, the Coalition for Peace Action co-sponsored an event "Peace in the Three Abrahamic Traditions" at St. Ann's Church in Lawrenceville, NJ. Leaders from the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths discussed the meaning and importance of peace. CFPA Executive Director Rev. Bob Moore presented on behalf of the Christian faith. CFPA at Mercer Greenfest
On Saturday, March 18 members of the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) attended Mercer Greenfest (formerly the Living Local Expo) at Rider University. This event focused on sustainable living, and CFPA volunteers provided attendees with information on our No Wars, No Warming campaign. They also administered our "Penny Poll" (see below).
CFPA volunteers administered our "Penny Poll" where people used pennies to express how they would like their tax dollars to be spent. Participants then were given information on how their tax dollars are actually spent.
Here were the results of the penny poll:
Environment: 365 pennies
Education: 343 pennies
Health Care: 280 pennies
Housing: 158 pennies
Military: 112 pennies

Gubernatorial Candidate Briefing with NJ Assemblyman John Wisniewski (D)
On Thursday, March 16 the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) briefed NJ Assemblyman John Wisniewski (D) who is running for the Democratic ticket in the upcoming NJ Governor's race. Assemblyman Wisniewski (center left in the picture below) was briefed by CFPA leaders and experts on the issues of verified voting, gun violence, and climate change.
