On Saturday, December 10 the Coalition for Peace Action's Bucks County, PA affiliate attended the Standing Rock & Beyond #NoDAPL March on Washinton. This march celebrated recent strides in the effort to protect Standing Rock water resources, but also recognized the need for continued solidarity and support for the 1st Amendment, human rights, and climate change initiatives.


On Tuesday, December 6 the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) led a Lobby Day to Washington, D.C. that focused on preserving the Iran Nuclear Agreement, curtailing nuclear modernization, and responding to climate change. The delegation included over 20 people from PA and NJ who met with the offices of Senator Pat Toomey (PA), Senator Bob Casey (PA), Senator Cory Booker (NJ), Senator Bob Menendez (NJ), and Representative Dwight Evans (PA-2nd Dist.). Some members of the delegation also ran into Senator Bernie Sanders in the hallway!
The delegation asked Senator Toomey's aides for support on climate change initiatives and limiting spending on nuclear weapons.

The Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) held it's 37th Annual Multifaith Service and Conference for Peace on Sunday, November 13, attended by over 400. The theme of the Conference was "Preventing a New Nuclear Arms Race!" Conference attendees filled Princeton University's Guyot Hall to hear speakers Frank von Hippel, Kelsey Davenport, Ira Helfand, Dan Zak, and Lisbeth Gronlund.
Princeton students presented their original video on understanding nuclear weapons.
Dr. Ira Helfand (International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War) discussed the real and present dangers of nuclear weapons. 
The morning's Multifaith Service incorporated various traditions such as Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam in a message of hope and peace.
On Saturday, November 12 members of the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) and Christ Congregation gathered to honor Executive Director Rev. Bob Moore for 35 years with CFPA and 40 years as an ordained minister. Over 80 people came and enjoyed a potluck meal, music, and testimonials to Rev. Moore's peacemaking career. Bob and his family were honored with a slideshow and comedic presentation about his vibrant career.

N.J. Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker provided a testimonial and joint resolution from the N.J. Legislature commending Bob's work.
