Join Ceasefire New Jersey for a discussion with Igor Volsky of Guns Down America (bio below) on bold new strategies to take on the NRA and the gun industry (followed by a Q+A)!

We will meet on Sunday, May 5, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton (50 Cherry Hill Rd), from 2 to 4 PM.

Igor Volsky will talk about how we all can participate in targeting banks who treat the NRA favorably. Rev. Bob Moore, Executive Director of the Coalition for Peace Action, and Dolores Phillips, Legislative Director of Ceasefire New Jersey, will also speak!

Igor Volsky is the co-founder and executive director of Guns Down America, an organization dedicated to building a future with fewer guns. Born in the former Soviet Union, Volsky immigrated to the United States with his family in 1993. After spending years working for progressive change at the Center for American Progress, he made headlines in 2015 for shaming lawmakers who took money from the NRA and sent “thoughts and prayers” after mass shootings. A lively interlocutor, he has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, CNBC television, and many radio shows. He lives in Washington, DC.

Mr. Volsky will have a limited number of copies of his new book available - GUNS DOWN: How to Defeat the NRA and Build a Safer Future with Fewer Guns. He will be staying to sign copies after the event.
