Dear friend,

Allegations of self-dealing, abandoning longstanding safeguards, and the threat of more nuclear weapons are just a few of the alarming concerns surrounding Donald Trump’s unprecedented 30-year nuclear agreement between his administration and the Saudi government.

While bipartisan opposition is already building, a 90-day clock ticks toward this deal automatically becoming law. That means we all must pressure Congress to act now. Tell your lawmakers to REJECT the U.S.-Saudi nuclear deal before the 90-day clock expires.

ActNow BrightRed

Trump and his allies frame this deal as a boon for nuclear energy, but any agreement that paves the way for a nuclear arms race anywhere in the world, especially in the unstable Middle East, is a bad idea. Nonproliferation — and, indeed, denuclearization — should be among the U.S. government’s top priorities; not incentivizing other governments to seek the tools to build nuclear weapons.

Congress has the power to stop this reckless deal — a deal Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been pushing for and one that would be negotiated by Trump’s family members and close allies, who stand to financially benefit while creating a more dangerous world. Together, we can press lawmakers to reject the agreement before it’s too late.

ActNow BrightRed

Under the Atomic Energy Act, Congress can block or modify this deal, allowing the Saudi government to develop the technology and materials capable of building a nuclear weapon — which could supercharge a global nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

With the clock ticking and less than 90 days to act, Members of Congress will be poring through the details of Trump’s proposed agreement as they return from recess. Let’s make sure that as they do, they know where their constituents stand.

Tell Congress: Stop Trump’s dangerous U.S.-Saudi nuclear deal before it’s too late.

Sincerely,
